DARIUS ACUFF JR. IS THE NUMBER ONE POINT GUARD IN THE NCAA’S FRESHMAN CLASS. HE Is aN Arkansas Razorback, Reigning SEC Player of the Year, Gold Medalist, and McDonald’s All-American.
The number one point guard in high school’s Class of 2025, 6-2, 175-pound Darius Acuff Jr. is known to college scouts as the most dominant and dynamic player in his class. Originally from Detroit, MI, Acuff’s career took off at Cass Tech High School, where he soared from unranked athlete to 247 Sports' #1 point guard in one season after dazzling fans on the Nike EYBL Circuit, leading Cass Tech to a Michigan MHSAA State Championship, and ultimately transferring to IMG Academy in which he lead the NIBC league in scoring as a junior. Acuff, a Team USA U18 member who won Gold and MVP honors at the FIBA AmeriCup in Buenos Aires while leading the team in scoring, chose Arkansas over several top-tier programs, including Michigan, UCONN, Duke, and Kansas.

In addition to his on-court career, in May 2025, Darius joined Matas Buzelis and Angel Reese as part of the Reebok Basketball athlete roster. His multi-year endorsement deal makes him one of the faces of the brand's newest basketball shoe, the Engine A, named for the long-time Reebok partner and the brand's Vice President of Basketball, Allen Iverson.
