At 6-4, 250 pounds, Devean Deal is known as one of the most relentless and impactful defenders in the Big 12. A Texas native and former two-way high school standout, Deal began his college career at Tulane, where he earned All-AAC honors and competed in both football and track. In 2024, he transferred to TCU to be closer to family—quickly emerging as a defensive force for the Horned Frogs. Off the field, he’s focused on building a future in real estate, entrepreneurship, and faith-driven community impact.

“Devean Deal is playing at such a high level right now that it’s hard to get him off the field…he does so many things well that they [TCU] need to keep finding different and creative ways to use him defensively.”
-Melissa Triebwasser, Frogs Insider (Dave Campbell’s Texas Football), quoting TCU Head Coach Sonny Dykes

“Yeah, Devean Deal (11) is the real deal. A high school WR who now stands at 6'4'' 250 lbs and plays edge, LB, and in slot coverage for TCU. Idk what position he's playing in the NFL, but I do know he's going to make big time plays.“
