MARKIS
DEAL
Markis Deal is a four-star recruit, multi-sport athlete, Defensive Tackle, and future star at TCU
At 6-5, 325 pounds, Markis Deal brings elite size, athleticism, and upside to the TCU defensive front. A former four-star recruit and the No. 10 defensive lineman in the country (247Sports), Markis made his presence felt as a redshirt freshman, earning seven starts and ranking top five on the team in tackles for loss (5.5). His breakout performances helped anchor a late-season surge by the Horned Frogs, including a dominant effort in the New Mexico Bowl win over Louisiana. A decorated high school athlete in football, basketball, and track, Markis qualified for the Texas 6A state finals in both shot put and discus. Today, he continues to develop into one of the top young defenders in the Big 12—while maintaining a 3.3 GPA and exploring business and political science. With NFL traits and a sharp mind for the game, Markis is building toward a future in both football and business leadership.

“Markis is going to be what Markis wants to be. He’s going to excel at whatever he decides to do. I think what separates him is he’s been doing it both ways at a high level for a while…That’s a rarity.”
-Jesse Perales, Garland Naaman Forest Coach, as told to the Dallas Morning News
