OLIVARI

QUINCY OLIVARI IS A Shooting GUARD PLAYING FOR THE XAVIER MUSKETEERS.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Olivari started his collegiate career at Rice, where he averaged 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in his final year, breaking the Owls All Time three point scoring record. Following his graduation after the 2022-23 season, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound shooting guard entered the transfer portal and selected Xavier to play his final year of college basketball over schools that included Auburn, Texas, and Miami. Since arriving in Cincinnati, Olivari has quickly won over the Musketeer fans, leading the team in scoring with 19.1 points per game, leading the Big East in scoring, 3-point field goals and 3-point field goal percentage, and picking up multiple honors along the way including Big East Player of the Week and Naismith Trophy Player of the Week. He is only the seventh athlete at Xavier to score 40-plus points in a game.

“Quincy Olivari was simply outstanding. I can say that in the time I've been a head coach, I don't know if I've ever had a player play that well in a game, He was just spectacular.”

Head Coach, Xavier Men’s Basketball after Oliveri’s 43 points vs. DePaul

What people are saying

“Quincy has no doubt been in a rare vein of form since the beginning of December, and he has earned the right to be mentioned alongside some legendary Xavier scoring guards. To pour home points like he has with such efficiency against some pretty strong opponents has placed him above all but the best of the best that have come through Xavier in recent seasons.“

— Joel D, Banners on the Parkway, SB Nation

“The Xavier Musketeers are on a three-game winning streak and transfer guard Quincy Olivari has been at the heart of any and all of the success the Muskies have had this season. Olivari transferred from Rice University to Xavier for his final year of NCAA eligibility, and quickly won over the fan base.“

— Marshall Kramsky, WCPO 9, Cincinnati News

“What is George’s favorite part of the game day experience at Cintas Center? ‘When Quincy goes in,’ he said.“

— 6-year-old George Heller, St. Mary School, Cincinnati Enquirer
